Two RONÉ Award nominees begin and end this boxed set of Regency romances. In THE KISS OF A VISCOUNT, George-Bennett Jones finds himself in love with Lady Elizabeth. His competition for her hand is the blond, blue-eyed Gabriel Wellingham. An earl, he's determined to gain the hand of the daughter of his most powerful political opposite, David, Marquess of Morganfield. George has been tutored by his mistress, though, and employs the rules he has learned in an attempt to gain the upper hand in his quest for Elizabeth's hand.
Lady Charlotte has to take matters into her own hands when she travels to Wisborough Oaks to marry Joshua Wainwright in THE GRACE OF A DUKE. The newly-minted Duke of Chichester is still recovering from burns and has no intention of subjecting a woman to what most in the ton refer to as "His Grace with half a face". When it appears someone is trying to kill him, Joshua sends his estate manager to London to find out who would benefit from his death. The appearance of another suitor for Charlotte's hand, an earl she has known since childhood, has the duke realizing he may have missed his opportunity to marry the perfect duchess.
In THE SEDUCTION OF AN EARL, Lady Hannah agrees to marry Henry Forster, Earl of Gisborn, despite knowing he has a son with his childhood sweetheart—and still loves her. Hannah has her dog, though, and merely wants a child of her own to love. An inventor and farmer, Henry is pinning the future of his earldom on a prognostication claiming the upcoming growing season will be too cold and rainy to grow crops. Determined to modernize, and to save a maid from a rake, Henry discovers Hannah and Harold MacDuff are rather resourceful and intelligent. It will take man's best friend to teach Henry a thing or two about women.

From the cover on the box, I was a bit worried this was going to be basically erotica, which is fine, but disappointing if you're looking for a normal romance story. It is normal romance stories. This trilogy started out slow with George and Elizabeth. Their love story is a bit strange in that she essentially chooses him just because he is a good in bed. The author is a bit wordy and I found myself skimming through unneeded parts of paragraphs to get back to the story. Still, I happilly started the 2nd book.
I think this second was my favorite of the 3 stories. Charlotte wants to marry Joshua, who has scars and doesn't think she should want to be with him. He does fall in love with her and they find their happily ever after.
In the third book, The last of the friend's meets, Hannah, marries Henry. This one was interesting, because at the start, she knows he is in love with another woman whom he has a child with. That has a twist though, and they have a happy ending at the end. I liked the character of the dog and who he was in all the books.
Definitely worth reading, even with the kind of wordy writing style.

The Daughters of the Aristocracy Boxed Set edition by Linda Rae Sande Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
All three books contain a good love story. Each loaded with humor, romance, and a continuity that fulfills curiosity about each of the friends.
I enjoyed the first two books quite well, having read them as separate purchase. I took the boxed set to read "In the Seduction of an Earl" and was disappointed. At the end of the book I as sad. Henry did not deserve Hanna. I know the author tried to make us aware of Hanna's preconceived notions of marriage and Henry's previous life and commitment, but he never came to terms with what his real relationship with Sarah actually was, and when he admitted to Hanna that he had actually gone to bed Sarah again after his times with Hanna and her probably being with child, I could not like the man for the rest of the story, and I could not accept Hanna or understand how she could not be more heartbroken for herself and not for him, I never felt like Henry realized that Hanna was the love of his life after all. he as just happy that things turned out so well for him. Disappointing love story.
I enjoyed these books because they gave the point of view from the men as well as the women. Some of the women were promised to someone at an early age. I liked how the author had them interact
I very much enjoyed this series. I loved the characters in the story line. Can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series.
THE KISS OF A VISCOUNT some descriptive sex
begins in 1814. Elizabeth is a daughter to a Marquess and George is a nephew to a Viscount. After 3 Seasons, Elizabeth has decided she is to marry before Christmas of this Season. George has just inherited his uncles title and find he must now marry. Josephine, George's mistress, has decided to marry also, but to George's dismay, not to him. But Josephine will instruct George in the art of Love, the art of Kissing, and the art of courting, speaking, flirting. So he may marry a proper Lady. Then she tells him she knows the perfect Lady for him Lady Elizabeth Carlington, daughter of the Marquess.
THE GRACE OF A DUKE Jane and Garrett have some good sex.
Lady Charlotte has been betrothed to the Duke of Chichester for 18 years. Now her father want her to marry the Earl of Gisborn. But Charlotte will have nothing to do with it, she has practied, trained and schooled to be a Duchess. After her father horse whips her, she leave to be with the true love, her betrothed, Joshua, the Duke of Chischester.
THE SEDUCTION OF AN EARL Henry and Hanna have some hot and wicked sex scenes
Gisborn having been rejected by Lady Charlotte, who sent him to her best friend Hanna, is looking for a wife. One who will also accept his bastard son, and his lover, Sarah. Hanna believes men love only their mistress' and have wives only to give heirs. When Harold, her dog, dies, Henry (Gisborn) understands the loss.
I wish we were given more than 5 stars to judge these books. This one I would give 10 stars. I know I'll be reading it again and enjoying it just as much if not more than the first time.
I really enjoyed this box set. You can't beat the price. I liked how the the stories had the three friends in each one. Elizabeth is scandalous for her time. I"m not sure why back in the day a man needed a wife and mistress. This box set proves you only need your wife. Charlotte is dedicated and I'm glad she doesn't give up on her man. Hannah is so sweet and her dog Harold is her best friend. I did shed some tears over Harold. I don't want to give it all away. Henry's son is adorable. I did not find the stories to racy. I liked the scenes showing how passionate they were together.
